If you enjoy lengthy descriptions of blood and guts and gore, then Josh Bazell's thriller is for you. I listened to it on compact disc and it was harrowing. There were some funny lines, but I had some trouble feeling sympathy for the protagonist. The hilarious scenes at Manhattan Catholic Hospital made me glad this is fiction--or is it?--Barb P.
