The White Rock: An Exploration of the Inca Heartland

In a London pub Hugh Thompson hears about an Inca ruin discovered by Hiram Bingham in 1911 but so poorly mapped that no one had been able to find it since. He and some pals decide to go to Peru and look for it. Entranced by the thrill of exploration, Thompson ultimately embarks on a journey through the sites of the Inca Empire. The White Rock is an accessible and passionate survey of what is currently known about this enigmatic civilization and the dramatic landscape it ruled. -- János.
